Yeah just a trim, though it feels really short, think it will look/feel better in a week or two Smile you'll see Wednesday
argh, slept at my boyfriends last night so I could get to work early...but then woke up freezing my butt off and realised I had no long pants, so have come home and will only get to work "on time" (not worth the rush to get there early)
hmmm...I need to do some baking/cooking, maybe next week Smile

I'll try make them this Wednesday, though I'm not sure what the deal is going to be with me and supermarket shopping. Tomorrow I'm getting the motorbike (yay!), which requires faffing though. If I can make it to work/the supermarket on Wednesday without killing myself it'll be all good...!

Deesh, when you getting over to NZ? I am waiting on your girly Smile

why am I driving to you when you could drive to me? Sticky Out Tongue
haha YAY for motorbike, kidding, I want to check out your pad Smile

Drive? Yeah, likelihood I may injure myself on the way there... Quite high Laughing Think your driving is better than my riding at the mo. Besides you need to meet the crazy housemates Smile

I feel like having a rant
and I have no blog or anything
and I always feel this is a safe and supportive place to do it so..

I am currently flatting with 1 other person
he is AWESOME and really hilarious etc....BUT we have completely different time tables so I never see him. This is fine and we make do with communicating via post it notes or big chats when we see each other.
Where my issue lies is food.
I came home the other day, and there he was, heating up a frozen meal
I have noticed that since he has lived with me/Phoe has not been here, I have been cooking less
We do our own cooking because we are ships in the night with our life time tables
BUT, cooking for 1 is SO hard
I am trying to be healthier and buying fresh fruit and vege often and organic things and the such BUT I cannot get through the standard sized stuff fast enough
So it all feels like such a waste of food
but there really appears to be no solution!?

In some ways I would love to move out with more people who share the cooking
But my dad owns my flat and is living overseas for at least the next year so I am somewhat bound to it.

This year was supposed to be a fresh start for me, I wanted to save money and now I am throwing away food, am sick on my 4th week of work, and am feeling all agitated and rattled....to the point where I am bitching about food on the JC forum!! Sticky Out Tongue Sticky Out Tongue

I saw the show I auditioned for in January but didn't get cast. Turned out there were only 10 women/10 men in the chorus. Plus I saw 2 men I know from the group I've done shows with, they've done shows with this group before but didn't make it this year, so it must have been an ultra-competitive year. Anyhow, very good show.

Silver lining, Kurt Elling's performing at the Green Mill this weekend, so if I'd been in the show I would have missed seeing him.

Tracey, lets dine together more often! Laughing That's our solution Wink
At the moment I'm trying to cook for other people lots, that's my solution as well! I end up with so much food always. I can't cook small meals. Most of the time I end up taking it to work for left overs. But even then I sometimes have too much. Do our usual.. Freeze a portion, eat a portion, have a portion for lunch the next day.

I also try and eat healthy stuff that you can cook small quantity of. Omelettes with veggies, pasta like the other night, stir fry, tray of roast veg, etc.

Anyway, I've got a load of cooking to do tonight because I'm taking Christian on a nice picnic tomorrow. I have bought lots of yummy food, but need to make some potato salad, pesto chicken, hard boiled eggs. I've bought some nice ham, insanely pricey and smelly cheese (his favourite Laughing ), nice bread, cherry tomatoes! Mm I'm hungry just talking about it. I'm excited anyway. Very Happy

Annnd yesterday I got my motorbike. Went on my first lesson with C last night, then another this afternoon, where I got into 3rd gear and rode on the road! So I've made quick progress and it's reaaally exciting. I love it! Even though 30km feels sooo fast at the moment ph34r Christian's like "get up to 50km on the open road, you'll be fine" and I'm like "errr, not sure I can manage that" Laughing

I'm working on getting my parodies that weren't in the first book into a new volume. Not as many as last time, but enough for a booklet I think. He's getting everything except the parody I wrote in response to the actions of a certain Toronto-based company, because, well, that one was obnoxious rather than silly.

I just finished a new one (see parodies thread) and have one more I'm tinkering with, but I don't know if that will be done by gig time. But The Pursuit hasn't inspired any, maybe I haven't listened to it enough. Laughing

Just popping in to say hi. I'm usually at Kenneth's place so no chance to be online. And now that my mum's home again I'll probably be there a lot more. She's driving me nuts with her nagging. When you're 25 you shouldn't be living with your parents Rolling Eyes

You should try a house share with three boys!

Shocked

Laughing

Actually they're great guys but there are times when I'd rather have my own place. Like when i come home after a busy day at work, only to find a kitchen full of dirty dishes.....and we won't mention the toilets.

In my house share it's 3 girls, 5 boys. They are all pretty together and mature about keeping their s**t together!

Good morning. Smile

I'll be sorting out some stuff for the anniversary of PN the next few days. Although we may not have an online meet up. Many people cant be here now at one given time due to living all over the world and ...life. Very Happy

So im going to do a raffle !!....and maybe a quiz if im up to it.

Im going to work it so that everyone who comes online from today and pms me for a ticket, will get a raffle ticket.

One ticket a day per person. Pop online and Pm me...get a ticket number.

Prizes will include.

Tour merchandise
Cds
An ipod shuffle
etc
etc
etc

And NO keychains !!! Laughing Thumbs up ( unless you want one of course )

So from today until Sunday the 28th of March ( We will make that the date of this years draw ) PM me and i'll allocate you a ticket...but theres no pressure to be online. it'd be good getting people together, but its just not easy these days....but if theres a demand, we will try and be online together.

The more you pop on through the weeks, the more you have the chance to win. Thumbs up

We will also be having a vote on this years PN awards. ....all good fun. More news about that later today.

I was literally wondering about that the other day! Thought maybe it was time to organise them but realised I wouldn't have the time. So double thumbs up on this, Mr. Dave!

A quick wave, hope you're all good! Smile

Has anyone ever used a neti pot? I've been battling a pretty bad sinus infection this week, and the nurse practitioner at the clinic I went to recommended trying one (along with pseudoephedrine and amoxicillin). I'm just wondering what it feels like.
